I just upgraded to a 2210, and was about to install Navman SmartST that came with the 3450 voice, but all the instructions talk about jackets etc, so is it tied to only working with a Navman jacket?
regards,

as far as we know the hardware lock that was still present in V1 should now have been removed in V2, and you should be able to install it onto your iPAQ . _________________ Lutz

Guys
Forgive my ignorance here, but does this mean Smart ST Prof V1.9 will NOT work with another/any Bluetooth device? ( I was just about to buy a bluetooth gps to get rid of the pesky Jacket!)
Cheers

That's right, SmartST Pro V1 is locked to Navman hardware... _________________ Lutz

Thank you for the disappointing news!
I'll guess I'll look at a Bluetooth Package then.
Cheers

Yeah it's unfortunate. If you had purchased the Navman 4400 pack then you would be able to use SmartST Pro with other GPS's including BT GPS's but the version bundled with the sleeve is locked to the sleeve. |
