Excuse me for asking but am I the only one to have this problem? This problem being that when I open the POI download page the section 3 category boxes seem extremely reluctant to appear. I've had them in the past week or so and downloaded a few to try out but now I'm hungry for more plus I'm going to subscribe (when sorted) to the speed cameras to update from my current Garmin/Cyclops that came installed.
What am I doing wrong - or is it just super busy? I did read in one POI section that Java was required but I've checked and I'm Java'd up to date.

I think you must have hit a very slow time. Just now the full page loaded in less than 15 secs.
The bottleneck could be at any point in the connection. The only way to check is to use software that measures the timings in each step. There is a program called VisualRoute. There are probably lots more.
If it is a continuing problem it might be worth trying the Demo Version to see if it gives any clues. _________________ Richard

I'm not sure if its a question of speed. The page loads quite quickly as do all the other pages but the category boxes don't appear everything else is there but I get
3. Select POIs (date of last update : number of POIs)
Loading POI categories...
I've tried Visual Route but that doesn't recognise www.pocketgpsworld.com and must presume it's looking for something else.
I've also tried to access these at work and had a similar failure rate. At home I'm using IE via Bt Yahoo and straight IE at work.
Obviously I am far from being fully technical on these matters and I have tried to access the POIs for the last week at various times with about a 1 in 50 success rate (or lower). My conection is fine and running at just under 2meg.
Any ideas on what the block is? (and will it affect downloading of Speed Cameras)
Persistence has paid off. Just tried again and got in and so I've downloaded a few more ready for transfer to my Garmin. Still a bit hit and miss though.
