Hi,
I have just purchased a Garmin 670 and downloaded the latest software off the Garmin site.
I've noticed the touchscreen is less sensitive since downloading the software. Before I could touch the screen with my fingernail, now I have to touch it a lot harder.
Has anybody else experienced this before ?
It's not causing me a problem, I'm just curious. |

Hi and welcome.
The screen may need re-calibrating. Page 44 on the manual. CLICK HERE 1.79 Mb PDF
Settings - Display - Touch Screen - Recalibrate
Follow instructions. |

Yes one of the firmware updates definitely caused this effect. Personally I prefer it now I have got used to it. The only downside I see is it is more difficult now to press on the green signal bars to get the satellite data displayed _________________ Red Squirrel

Yes I believe this was a deliberate change as some users were reporting the screen was too sensitive and they were getting phantom key presses. |

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate that.
At least I know now. I'm in Barcelona at the moment so will play around with it when I get back to the UK.
Thanks
