Hi guys
Is there a program that i can download to my HTC P3600 (WM6) which i can use with the integrated GPS to show me my Grid Reference - so that i can check my position on a OS map.
Thanks, Dan. |

Welcome to the forum, you could look at using Memory Map which shows your GPS position on the OS map on screen, its not cheap if you want the whole of the UK but regions cost fifty pounds. Or have a look at GPS Speed Sentry which is considerably cheaper and can display OSGB along with a whole host of other useful features, it is aimed at in car as well as off road, it even offers a speed camera warning setup that works with the database from this site -Mike |

Thanks Mike
Speed Sentry is the sort of thing i'm looking for - I don't want to shell out for memory map - just want a backup to check against my OS maps.
Have installed Speed Sentry but am having difficulty getting it to give a stable OS grid reading - keeps jumping around
will keep you posted on how it works in the field.

Take the device outside and wait for a while for it to find a number of satellites, the position indication should stabilise after a while - Mike |

Put the speed camera database on it and use it in the car as a "Points avoidance system" - it is very good at doing this as well as all the other options and functions offered, bear in mind for the compass to be accurate though you will need to be moving - Mike |
