Hey,
I have both the Origin B2 (which hasnt been updated in about a year) and a Garmin c510deluxe.
If i join for the month of the year, will i be able to download updates to both of them using the various downloads?
What downloads would i need?
How would i get the updates onto the Origin B2 as doesnt it update through the origin software?
Sorry for these noob questions but i was getting a little confused - data overload - and arent the most technical person if im honest.
Thank You |

The Origin B2 looks like it needs to use it's own database and not the one from here.
The Garmin c510 should be ok though.
Also when you join you can download as many databases as are released in that month, so wait until a new one released and then join. That way you should get at least 2 databases for your money. |

As Paul has said, the b2 is a 'closed' system which can only use data supplied direct by Origin. No problem using our database with the c510 though.
However as with most such things, one month's sub won't give you the full protection after the month has expired. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks for your help.
So im guessing that there is no way to get around having to pay Origin subscription fee to update my B2?
Or is the pocketgps download good enough to mean that i wont need to use my origin B2? |

No.

I've never used a B2 so i can't comment of that particular device. However the PGPSW database is a very good database with loads of people contributing to it. It's cheap (£19 a year) I only use it and don't feel the need for any other detectors or equipment other then the Garmin i3 Sat Nav it is loaded on. Also if you are the first to submit a new fixed position camera then you will be rewarded with a free lifetime subscription. |
