Welcome to the forum John
Here's a good link for you to start with.
If you convert the Tom Tom .ogg files as I have, you'll find they work just fine. _________________ Dom

I have an F20 and I wondered the same thing too.
I have found a site where you can make up your own .wav files and I have made a couple in readiness ( fingers crossed it can be done ). _________________ Keith

I converted the .ogg files on a website i found and have been using them for a while now. I use four different statments, mobiles, gatsos, specs, and temporary, although you could also get the speed sound files too. And the charming young lady's voice is crisp and clear like the voices on my navaman.
So uncross those fingers and just do it! _________________ Dom

I see you are using an iCN750 , do you know if this can still be done on an F20 though ?
If it can , could you tell me how to do it , because I have'nt got a clue ? _________________ Keith

[Short version] On Smartst use the poi manager to upload the camera database. When you see the poi options screen there should be an audiable warning option near the bottom with a play button so you can hear the sound to be played. If this option is not there then I don't think it'll work.
If it is there, on the manager screen there is a sound manager to manage your new sound files.
If you want to try my .wav files then pm me your email address and I'll email them to you.

I have just hooked up my F20 to the Navman software and gone to the POI options screen.
There is'nt a way of playing the audible warning , so I would assume that you can't then alter the original sound on the F20.
Thanks for getting back to me anyway.......nothing ventured , nothing gained. _________________ Keith

I think i'll have to appologise here I have just checked the user manuals for the f20 and am supprised to find it won't allow as standard a user to change the poi sound files as on the icn series. Odd concidering it came out at the same time as the icn750.
Sorry guys! _________________ Dom

But it is the budget version. And to be pedantic, the F series came out with the N series. It was the iCN530 which came out with the 7xx ones. _________________ Tim |

I remember that, but it only seemed like a few months after i bought the icn750 that they changed the range again. My selective memory! _________________ Dom
