Hi folks a newbie to forums, have had icn 510 nearly 3 yrs , a member here a year, fed up with being sent down dirt tracks, directed down one way streets wrong way, losing sigal in unknown city centres!! decided to try tom tom conversion......but having problems, after flashing v2005 update. restarted ( top reset) tried to access via my computer, mobile device, intending to access storage card for maps, I got "critical communications services have failed to start." I tried through activesync (3.7.1) got same thing.I wonder if flash went OK? GPS switches on & all functions are there but no maps yet!! (discs are in midlands, i'm currently in scotland!!) a copy on PC hard drive & SD card, but unit doesnt read them. (did before flash) How can I force software to re-flash update?? is it possible???.
Any advice gratefully accepted!!

Hi
You say no maps if you go into maps on the iCN are the names in red.
Obviously you have access to a pc. Does it have SmartST on board; you may have to get your registration from Navman via SmartST.
I am sorry to tell you, but you will need those discs, if a reload is needed.
Regards
