Can someone help me please? I purchased a TomTom One Europe today and used the supplied promotion code to download the safety cameras. I have installed all the UK ones using the TomTom Home software where they show as being installed on my device. The problem is that when I look to manage them on the device they do not appear under the list of POIs. |

Tom Tom's "New Improved Format" for speed cameras is non manageable - you cannot configure either the warning distance or the warning sound.
If you want to configure, then the answer is to use the cameras from this site (you'll find them to be more comprehensive and more up to date too). _________________ Dennis

TomTom decided to "hide" their camera's so they are not treated as POI files any longer, you cannot configure them, but they will show up when driving. Try planning a route from AtoB (Advanced Planning) and chose a departure point then a destination thet goes past a known speed camera.
Then use Route demo/ Show Route Demo set the speed to 100% and watch/ listen to the device - you will (should get a warning of the camera)
If you want Speed Cameras that install and configure as true POI with configurable distances and alerts consider the PocketGPSWorld database instead - Mike |
