|
|
I have the tt 5 maps for western europe (UK) installed and activated on my tomtom go 300. I also have an xda orbit and have installed the correct update from the tt site (as instructed in an earlier post on this forum). I have installed the UK map from the cd and have tried to activate it via ttcode.com.
I have put in the product code and device code (both of which are recognised by ttcode.com) when I am given the activation code to insert in my xda I am informed that it is not a valid code for a uk map. A manual or automatic activation gives the same warning.
What is happening please. |

Are you sure you have installed the full European map? The error suggest you have only the UK map installed.
I should alos point out that your licence permits use of only ONE device. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren.
I do have just the UK maps installed on the xda sd card as I don't require any of the others (and don't have the room for them all anyway) Are you saying that as the owner of the maps I still need another licence? How do I get a second licence or permission to use them on another device? How do I 'decommission' the Go300 and commission the xda if I cannot get around my problem?
I would be grateful if you could advise me?

Your licence permits installation on a single device. To install to another you'd need to purchase another copy of the map.
With regard to the activation issue, you'd need to speak with TomTom but as they will already have an install showing on another device I doubt they'll be willing to help, sorry. _________________ Darren Griffin |
