My TomTom windshield suction bracket won't stick when it's cold and keeps falling off. It's fine in warm weather. Any ideas? |

I had a problem ONE morning. For me the solution was to thoroughly clean the windscreen with a chamois pad and then to hold the sucker in my hand to warm it up and make it supple enough to press and hold against the windscreen to keep as much air out as possible whilst working the fixing mechanism.
I also have to be careful to avoid the windscreen narrow border of tiny black dots which bypass the suction. _________________ Dennis

Dear Horace Batchelor, sorry DennisN :D Thanks for that. I now keep the bracket indoors and warm it up on a radiator before taking it out to the car and it seems to have solved the problem. Previously, I had left it in the car overnight. All the best. Chris. |

But I have to admit secretly that I don't take mine out at night (my excuse is I live opposite the local criminal and he doesn't s*** in his own nest, so my van is safe! _________________ Dennis
