Here are excerpts from TomTom's reply to my question about new maps for TT5:

Currently, your HP 2215 is not compatible with TomTom Navigator 6. We cannot, unfortunately, guarantee that it will work free of problems in combination with our latest software.
We are, however, continuously testing devices to find a method to use our software on these devices. Only when we conclude that a device will work without problems after extensive testing will we say it is suitable and add it to our compatibility list.

The update for NAVIGATOR 5, it's the NAVIGATOR 6. The maps will work only for this software, there will not be new maps for NAVIGATOR 5. We apologize the inconvenience this may have caused you.
I suggested they post two lists: PDAs that are supported and PDAs they are still testing or planning to test. That way, a user could move on if their PDA isn't on one of the lists. So far, only the one list.
I like TT5, but I'm very disappointed TomTom won't have new maps for it, and that they won't even tell me if the 2215 is being tested.
Since many seem to have success with the 2215/TT6, my plan is to buy the $50 upgrade and hope it works on my 2215. If it doesn't, I'll look for a dual use, aviation/car navigation unit, as I am also a pilot. I have two PDAs and sure don't need a third!
Another possibility is a car nav program that will run on the 2215. I'm open to suggestions.
