Hi just a quick post . Have just updated my navman 520 with the tomtom one v2 .So the question is have i done the right thing ?, and is there any thing about the tomtom i should know,ie operating tips or known problems etc

The most important thing is to do a Full Backup before you change/add anything.
There is only one copy of the Map, and it's on the SD Card. Lose that, and it can be a prolonged process to get it back. ;)
Have a look at the FAQs Page here.
#1 and #2 are certainly important reading. Go through any of the others that are relevant to you. Take your time. It will make learning about, and using, your new Device less frustrating. _________________ Richard

In addition to the good advice given to you by Richard, I would suggest that in addition to doing a backup you get another SD card and restore the backup to this new card (1 or 2 gig), then put the original card away somewhere safe.
Only ever use the original card to make another 'working' card should the need arise. _________________ Regards

Ah , so no maps supplied on disc , just ordered myself a new SD card and will backup before the speed cams are installed. Cheers |
