Ever since I updated CPL 6 to v6.0.4.110, all the camera icons disappeared from the screen (all other POI are stilled displayed) . However, I did get notified when approaching a camera. Can anyone shine some lighty on this. Thnx in advance. |

Hi redhotorange
Apologies if I am being too simplistic but sometimes its easiest to start with the most simple answers.
I am no expert but from reading this forum having joined last week, did you remember to save the bitmaps as well as the OV files? Did you rename them Safetycamera as per the ALK instructions? as I believe it doesn't recognise them otherwise.
I installed them last week and they seem to work fine once I realised that the continental maps didn't cover the UK and installed the UK maps as well. I prefer the new format with the little sign at the side rather than obliterating the screen. I would however prefer it if it told me what the speed limit of the camera was as I cannot see writing that small without my glasses! It may be I should have downloaded the cameras zoned by speed. Good luck |

Yes. I have followed all the instructions. It worked at first but then for some unknown reason it just stopped. |

I have had a few problems with my database as well....all, I have to say, of my own making. Rather than muck about with it, I have just deleted the old database and re-installed it. It works fine now. I have downloaded the whole kit & caboodle minus the redlight cameras and the unconfirmed cameras. I have set the map to show all POI's and set the warning database to come in at 500yards. It only takes a few minutes and its not worth the hassle of trying to figure out whats wrong. Just start again. Remember to delete all the ao files. Good luck. |

Thanks Labeline
I just reinstall the whole cp6 from the beginning, updated to .68 then to .110. It seems to work now. |

I get this too. Just added this in another thread:
1) f you stop your car and then move the map slighly, all the camera POIs disappear from the screen. Start driving and when the screen next refreshes (to update your position on the map) then all the camera icons re-appear.
2) Its only when you get to within the nominated distance of a camera that its icon appears on the map at which time any other camera POI within the map area get shown.
3) In planning mode you can not see camera POIs on the map although you can search for them when picking a POI.
.
Looks like the 110 patch is a not well integrated re-write of the camera stuff. |
