I think so - probably the best thing to do is to go to the Garmin website and download the manual so you can read all the settings and controls it has.
Most Garmin units do, and automatically change at sunset / sunrise too, although you will need to check this particular unit (which I have no experience of) before buying if this is a major factor for you. |

thanx for the reply swing
I looked on the garmin website but couldnt find anything about a night mode.
I have the unit seald in a box next to me.
i havent taken it out the box yet because halfords said once i break the seal its none refundable.
and ive come on these boards only to read someone saying he had to return his twices coz of lock up problems
so im unsure of keeping it and maybe getting a diffrent model |

pretty sure all sat navs have a night mode which automatically switch to it at dusk...even the cheap and lowly i3 has it.. _________________ *************************** |

I have a c510 and it has night mode. Automatic or user selectable. The automatic mode switches at sunrise/sunset. It's called "Color Mode" in the "Owners Manual" at page 21.

Sorry as above - Page 21 but Acrobat displays it as the 29th page (including the cover and contents pages.......) |

well the device got the better of me and i opend the box.
and yes i can either select day mode or night mode or auto
i really like it and im trying to find some mods to add to the
extras area.
i just dont like all the messy cables for the FM Trans and power
so im gonna pay halfords the £20 to fit it with min wires hanging out
Thanx for all your replys |
