Hi All,
A little info here on the new map install,
Before you start, BACK UP YOUR CARD!

I have mine working on a bigger card (512).
(copy original card onto bigger card)

Install version 660 map to card using TT Home.
Your original map will be left on card.

1- Start Tom Tom unit and switch to new map in the map option.

2- copy any poi from original map folder to new map folder.(cameras etc).

3- to regain you favourites then copy MapSettings.cfg file also.

4- reinput camera warnings.

Useful advice gluey. I found that my mapsettings file had disappeared from the old map folder, perhaps because I set a new favourite when I used the car. A mapsettings.cfg file appeared in the new map folder. Luckily I had backed up the TomTom before upgrading and was able to copy the old mapsettings.cfg file into the new map folder.

I also had to move my camera and other POIs into the new map folder (called "Western Europe") in order for the TomTom to recognise them and show them in the menus. However, I had to reset all the warnings.

I've already deleted the old map using TomTom Home. Does anyone know if I can delete the old map folder "Western Europe Maps" or will that lose the maps that don't come with the 606 upgrade but were with the older version?
