I just bought a tomtom one to replace my ageing tomtom 300 and was wondering if I could use the backups I made for tomtom 300 on tomtom one.Any help would be appreciated.

I very much doubt it as the maps on the Go 300 would be older than those on your new TT V1. If it's data such as Favourites you could save them to a POI file on the Go 300 then copy the POI file to the one. _________________ Graham.

Cheers for the rapid reply.Does anybody know if I would a new data chk file for the real camera voices on the tomtom oneor could I use the same as on tomtom300.If I need a new data chk file where could I download it from. |

Les, a lot of people have stopped using the data.chk file method for getting spoken allerts, it will still work if a suitable file can be found to match your device software have a look HERE
The new revised (and somewhat easier method in my opinion) is to use the OGG files directly in the map folder please see HERE for further details, check your e-mail - Mike |
