Hi people I want to convert my tomtom files (oov2) to work on my Garmin unit which i have just bought, (csv) Does anyone know how or if this can be done , and where ican get the programme to do it from...Thanks |

I find one of the easiest methods is to use POI Edit you can find more details HERE use the Tools/ Batch Convert option- Mike |

Thanks , it works a treat, do you you know of anything that will change /convert the voices in a similar way as this one says that it does not supprt this action...Thanks again for your help |

Voices are a totaly different issue, what are you trying to do? you can't use a TomTom voice file on a Garmin it simply won't work - well not without some serious messing around and even then bits will still be missing - Mike |

Thanks for that , I did not know if it was possible to transfer the voice files to another unit/make .I have celebrity voices on the tomtom and I wondered if they could be converted and used like the ov2/csv. The reason for all this is that my tomtom screen is broken and i have just got a garmin i3 streetpilot to replace it and am trying to update as thetomtom has more recent files than the garmin updates...again thanks for your help been very useful |
