There have been a lot of complaints from users about the inaccuracy and missing roads from the Tele Atlas maps. Could any of the clever software people out there write a programme that would allow you to drive on a new road and record it onto the existing maps? I would gladly pay for this software if someone could creat it and I am sure that I am not alone. Or is it too difficult? |

Not possible to do, all you can resort to is reporting any mapping problems to the supplier. Then hope they get the new updated maps correct including those areas highlighted through complaints, don't hold your breath though, the data can take a considerable amount of time before it made available for use with a sat nav product (18 months is about the norm) - Mike |

Who would be responsible for collecting all the Data and presenting it in a logical fashion?
If it takes TeleAtlas, using a large van bristling with cameras and GPS equipment, months to get it right what chance do we have.
It all has to be collated and then passed to TT, Navman, etc., to use that data in whatever way they see fit.8O _________________ Richard
