|
|
OK it seems that the Halfolds own brand ie Navsure 200i and 300i are becoming a seller due to the stupid low price of £99 and £119.
I brought one today to play and test with, my feedback so far !!
1, The Screen even though small is in great detail and the unit layout on the mapping page is very much like the Sony Unit's seen in the past.
2, It does not seem to do full post codes but can seem to find most places via the town, street level searches.
3, Best option is to buy chargable batterys with a unit, as the unit can run direct from the car but stand alone it runs on AA batteries (which can not be charged direct from the in car lead to unit.
4, POI are very up todate and the icons are a very well laid out design.
5, The Speaker volume and voice is ok but does seem a bit unclear sometimes, could be me (getting Old)
6, The directions on the unit are spot on and loss of GPS is rare.
7, I can seem to find anywhere to upload software updates or map updates ????
Now i ve got a few questions i think need to be looked into,
Firstly i have been told the layout is close to the MIO and extra POI and speed camera's could work if uploaded, can someone at pocket gps confim this and if so HOW ????
Also the unit has the option for TMC so i asume you can add the TMC arial but Nor Halfords or Support are quite sure on this and how to.
Other information or reviews would be helpful for all those buyers on a budget who purchase this hoping to add POI or Speed Camera etc. |

I ve already checked the other thread and thats why i started this thread. I dont believe thats the only answers that can be given and considering this is a GPS site and this is a popular model now within the market, it should be given some interest and maybe look into more detail on this unit. |

Update on Navsure 200i & 300i
Spoke direct with Navsure dealers and have found out the following.
Halfords will be launching a link to the Navsure support website soon !!!
Navsure 200i & 300i will be able to update via support site soon !!!
Adding POI's will be added soon to unit
TMC can be used on the Navsure 200i & 300i but only aboard ???
*Personal updates as well, I ve now used the unit 300i for a couple of days now and i can still record that it does hold the GPS signal well.
The direction detail is 100% and POI data is spot on and i also like the nice looking graphics for the POI's etc. Battery life is good (I ve been using rechargeable AA batteries) and so far i still have 75% power, after over 8 hours of use. I keep you updated. |
