Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to have the POI names displayed on the map during navigation.
Best regards,

No, unfortunately this is not possible in TomTom. Navigon and others can do that. _________________ Lutz

Thank you very much for your reply.
It is unfortunate that TomTom can't do something that simple... showing the name of a POI can be very useful when you want to check for any particular POI in the area, instead of simply its type. |

yes and no.
Navigation systems should help you keep your eyes on the road, and not make you try to read tiny text on a small display... _________________ Lutz

I see your point. Nevertheless if you travel with someone that can act as a copilot, it would be nice to at least provide the option to show the text.
In my particular case this need came upon a travel plan that I created for my vacation trip. I defined a few POI's that we wish to either visit or to pay attention to (an ambiguous intersection, for instance). TomTom is setup to send an audible warning when we come near these POI's, but it would be better to be able to know what is a particular POI.
I take this oportunity to ask if there's a way to see the detail (its name) for a particular POI on the map. I mean, if I see a POI on the map, how can I know what particular point is that? |

Not ideal, I grant you _________________ Jock
