Is it possible in TT5 to make a trace of the route you have taken, so it can used again, distances calculated, etc?
I am sure I have read about this somewhere but a trawl through the menus didn't reveal anything.
Cheers

Peter, as far as I know this cannot be done with TT5 on one of the Go products, what device are you using though if its a PDA you can achieve this, what PDA do you have if this is the case - Mike |

To do this at the same time TomTom is running you will need to use another utility to "split" the GPS signal in software, this enables multiple programs to receive the same data stream from the GPS unit, I use Fransons GPS Gate to accomplish this task.
Next is the software required to log the journey, this again is another application either Memory Map or use the GPS driver vs 2,06 which has a log facility within it (note this is a standalone application and NOT an upgrade to the GPS driver your tomtom software is currently using have a look at the downloads section of this site as you can get this from there).
The Log is only available to view you cannot use it to re-plan the same route etc.
If you want to store routes and call them up again have a look at using the itinerary planning option within TomTom, this allows you to pre-plan/ save and re-use routes, have a read through THIS for additional information - Mike |

Thanks Mike
I have tried the Itinarary Planning option which was a little clumsy and does not allow you view TTs map whilst driving.
As I want to reuse some of the routes it looks lke the best option.
Maybe something TT will think of adding in the future??
Cheers

| Have a look at this thread, if you are using a PDA. _________________ Jock
