My tomtom 510 has decided to 'lock up' when I turned it on today, I can't turn it off. Just shows the picture of a tomtom (opening screen). I've connect it to my PC but no luck - any ideas.
PS Its a week old and has been working fine. |

They like to do that atleast once in their lief time. Just grab a paperclip and reset the unit by poking the paper clip in the right place at the back. |

This happened to mine and I had to send it back to TT. I still have not got it back(3 weeks) yet support states it will be returned within 5 - 10 days. What a load of *^!" _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2699lmt

Just another case of where tomtom is failing on its part. Product faults, poor customer service, poor efficiency in updates ... whats next ?
Good luck in getting your tomtom back in one piece and not riddled with further problems. |

I had visions of sending the unit back to Tomtom (and oblivion ), however, I have taken nudda's advice, poked around with a paper clip - brilliant - all working :D
Thanks nudda! |

No problem Ollie. Glad to hear its back functioning. What Ive noticed is that it actually functions better after the at-least-once-in-its-life papaer clip trick. Maybe they need to poke them up the backside before sending them onto retailer ? |
