I had TTN5 set up on my Jamin. I've since sold it & waiting for a Mio A701 to arrive. What I need to know is whether I can just load nav5.21 application onto the Mio & put the sd card from the Jamin thats already got the maps & everything else on it already activated. Will it work or would I have to reload everything from scratch & need to reactivate the maps.
There's nothing else on the sd card other than some mp3s & photos.
Also when I was using speed camera warnings downloaded from this site I had it set up to warn only when enroute. However what happened was that the wrnings would go off even if the camera was on the opposite side of the road. Is that normal or is there a step I've missed somewhere.

You don't have to reinstall everything from scratch but you will have to re-activate the maps with your existing product code and the new Device ID.
Be aware that the Mio's have a problem in that the device ID may change at random. This is no good for TomTom. Check if Mio have brought out a fix yet.
The speed cameras are not yet direction aware, so the observed behaviour is "normal". _________________ Lutz
Oh I just got home tonight at 12am & the Mio is already here. Wife says it was delivered this morning.
Haven't had time to play with it properly yet bcoz I'm too tired but 1st impression upon holding it it is very cool looking phone/pda & not as big as I 1st thought. Seems to be very well made aswell. I'll leave it to charge overnight & have a good play with it tomorrow.
