Hi Guys,
I might be being blindly stupid, or it might just not be here, but i cant seem to find anywhere on this site that gives instructions on how to install the speed camera database on tomtom mobile 5.
If anyone can just point me into the direction of a thread that has the instructions it would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards
Jamie |

Sorry, may have sussed it - is it just a case of connecting the phone to Nokia PC Suite, locating the tomtom folder within the memory card, going into the Great Britain Map, and pasting all the ov2 and bmp files in there?
I did previously have a speedcamera database in there, but its quite old, so shall i just replace all the old existing files with the newer version? There also seems to be some Excel documents in there, with some figures in for each type of camera, shouldnt there be a newer version of these excel sheets if new speed camera's are being put up?
Thanks very much |

You are on the right tracks in terms of where to place the Speed Camera data, however could I sugest that first you clear the device of any old files, search around on the map folder for anything that resembles a file with the extension of .ov2 and speed camera or pocketgps....... etc then delete it BEFORE putting the new data on the device, this way you fully understand what the device is using. - As always make a back-up of the card within the phone first (just in case) -
As for Excel type files TomTom will not understand them so there is little point in them being loaded, the file type for custom POI is .ov2 - Mike |
