Loading maps for Europe

I've just taken delivery of my i3 and it seems to work fine. It comes with a 256MB microSD card installed with UK and Ireland. I need to get maps of France and Italy so am thinking of buying City Navigator Europe V8. If I do this can I load maps onto the included MSD card or will I need to buy a bigger one? If I do will lose the UK/Ireland maps or does that not matter as I just reload them from City Navigator E? How much memory do I need to load all the European maps?

Does the i3 have internal memory and how can I found out how much of this is being utilised?

To answer the map size part of your question , the whole of Europe = 1809.5 MB, France = 333MB and Italy = 246MB.

You are better off downloading the maps onto a new card as City navigator V8 does not have post code search facility for UK. Unless some one has managed to get it to search by post code.
