Have you installed the Navman Desktop software onto your PC? It should be on one of the four CDs you have. The other three contain maps. _________________ Tim |

Did you get the map CDs? There should be four in all, one for the application and three for maps. You should also have got a carmount, a car power lead and a mains power lead, along with a carry case, remote and screen cloth and a a host of paperwork including manual, warranty, quickstart guide and a few other bits. _________________ Tim |

After asking for the cd this is what Digiuk.com answered:
Hello there
I'm afraid the ICN 550 does not come with a CD and the speed camera database. It is illegal for the companies to produce data like this.
However it is freely available as a download from www.pocketgpsworld.com
I hope this helps |

It's true that the iCN550 doesn't come with the database but it isn't necessarily true that it is free from this site.
What you need is a CD containing the Navman Desktop for iCN550 application. It is this which should have come with your unit. So, did you get any CDs with the device? _________________ Tim |

No, it is imposible without the Navman Desktop software which, I repeat, should have been supplied with the unit. As they are advertising the ability to import custom POIs
Quote: | You can also import your own points-of-interest tailoring your Navman ICN 550 with particular petrol stations, safety cameras, sports grounds and restaurants. |
then you should ask them to provide you with the necessary software to do this. _________________ Tim |
