hI Everyone, I'm new to site, but have recently bought new TTN5 and HP HX2490 (WINDOWS MOBILE 5.0) to replace my faulty HP1940 running TTN3.
My question is, I would like to import all my personal POi's created on TTN3 so I can use them in the new TT5. I have tried copying the file and pasting into the GB MAP file as with all the additional POI's and Camera database from this site, but TT5 doesnt seem to recognise it. Is there any conversion required? as I have a few hundred sites I have created over last 2 years in there which are usefull for me in my job. I am kinda hoping someone will be able to help me out on this one, as I seem to have drawn a blank.
Any advice welcome!

TTN5,x will only support 39 custom POI's so how many individual ov2 files are you trying to copy from the old device? - You might need to roll a few POI's together to reduce the number you have on the device at any single time (2490 is a nice piece of kit, good choise on the hardware) - Mike
Thanks for the reply Mike. :D
I originally saved them on my TTN3 all under 'SITE' as a POI name, and within that there may be up 100-150+ individual sites. which I stored for all my company buisness customer sites. Iwas hoping I could add that as a POI group to my TTN5, even if I have to delete some other added-in ones. The file I have from my TTN3 is 'poi.dat' and about 1.299kb, but all new files seam to be .ov2 files.
My origional HP1940 is unstable and after being repaired twice, thought it wise to replace it. Initially I was going to install my TTN3 on it, but it wouldnt register as it allready had 2 devices registered with tom tom, (on repair, it had main board replaced), so it wouldnt let me reinstall / register on the 2490, hence the purchase of the newer TTN5.
If you can steer me towards any conversion to ov2 format or how to use them on TTN5 I would appreciate it.
The 2490 is nice, with the WiFi as well to get on line. Seems a lot more rugged than my old HP1940.
