|
|
Apologies if this topic is in a wrong place. This forum was the closet I could find for my question.
I have a Garmin iQue 3600. According to Garmin website, iQue 3600 does not support POI Loader.
I have created a CSV file. The first line (heading) start with a semi colon. For example ;longitude, latitude, name, details
Would I need to include this semi colon at the beginning?
Can anyone provide any basic instructions of how I would install this csv file on iQue 3600?
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks |

The POI loader does not work on the iQue
PalmDesktop - AddressBook - File - Import
This places all your new waypoints into the address book and will transfer them to the iQue during HotSync!
Why haven't you used MapSource for creating waypoints? It is the software designed for Garmin units. Save the MapSource file as .mps.
POI converter will change different file types.
All the speedcameras from the database are opened up on MapSource before transfer to the iQue.
Have you seen my detailed instructions in the 'left navigation bar'? |

When I click on the 'Garmin iQue' link (left navigation bar) I get the following message:
The topic or post you requested does not exist
would you please help? Wouldyou please give me instructions on how to upload the mapsource (.mps) files to Garmin iQue 3600? |

The link is working!
Anyway, I take it that you have MapSource with CitySelect or CityNavigator.
Open Mapsource and create 10 waypoints.
Save as a .mps file
Open PalmDesktop
You should on the AddressBook see a green flag on the top bar[if it is missing you should download the waypoint conduit from the Garmin 3600 website.
Then import the .mps file by clicking on the green flag and the 10 waypoints will be on the address book in 'unfiled' category.
Hotsync and they will be in the iQue in 'unfiled' category.
PM me if you have problems! |
