I see on the Packardbell site that there is a new version of ND out V5.5.
Anyone running this yet.

Great! my recently received Tibo had v5.1.79 on it , and looking on another site i see they claim that they now come with 'PN' installed as standard ..
Question is ..... is this a step forwards |

I have now had a chance to have a play with version 5.5.
A couple of points that I have so far noted
The software no longer supports standard WAV files, they have to be converted to SPX.
The warning distances for POI's are now much more restricted (100,500,1000 yards) instead of (100,200.300. etc)
Most of the quick access buttons have been removed from the main map page
Routing algorithms have been changed so it now picks some pretty odd routs when tested locally.
The quick home route only gives a shortest route not quickest sending me down many un-made un-lit roads.
Still only go 5 digit postcode, although this is fixed in version 6 of destinator.
Still no separate POI distance warnings.
The GUI now looks much simpler, probably to make it look more like TomTom
One good change is the alpha entry buttons are now one letter per button instead of three.
So for me 5.5 is a definite down grade to 5.1 |

Hi torkie,
You already know how to download the database to your tibo? I have a tibo too. I also want to download the database, but don't know how and where to get it.
