Please can you provide a link to the web site entry where this is listed. This will help answer questions and establish if you should really be linking to it here.
Which, model is it for? Is it a free download? What are the installation instructions? How up to date is it? |

Have already read that thread. If TomTom themselves are not making a fuss about the link then why should anybody else? As it happens I already had the updated file on my new TTone. |

A quick word of warning, and nothing against the OP, but this post is a tad out of date!
LOOK AT THE DATE
THE LINKS WERE POSTED
OVER TWO YEARS AGO
The chances are this data is considerably out of date compared to what is on your device - beware - Mike |

I was wondering how do you check which version of postcodes i have. Is it as simple as opening one of the folders in the .zip folder as i cannot open these so i was wondering if there is another way. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

Crikey never noticed the date but the file is slightly larger than my original, is there any way of knowing it's version? |

One of the files in the zip folder is called 'Great_BritainPostal.ver'. You should be able to open this with Notepad, Wordpad or another text editor. It contains a line 'version=701', I beleive this is the latest version.
I don't know of any other way to check the version. |

To check the version of postcode data right click the postcode.ver file and select "Open With" choose WordPad and the contents will display the version number, at the time of typing this the latest GB postcode file I have is displayed thus:
[description]
ID=GreatbritainPostal_TeleAtlas
version=701
