I was wondering if any of the moderators could go into the management side of the forums and adjuts the times so that postings are shown in UK times. Please
I noticed that the last posting of Martike's that I saw was already timed as taking place on Sunday although it isn't even 6pm on Saturday in the UK. |

Hi, metroace,
If you go to your profile on the forum (one of the standard buttons at the top will take you there), you can specify your time zone, and all the message time stamps will be adjusted to your local time as they're displayed. |

Not quite. There's an error somewhere along the line. I currently have the time set to GMT -1 hour in order to get the times to show as GMT. _________________ Tim |

Thanks for that Martike, however as Tims says, to get it right, I have had to go for GMT-1. |

This is a test.
My profile is set to GMT+1 and as I'm posting this my watch is showing 09.40 |

... and it's displaying in the forum as 10.34 !!
Strangely enough, when I preview this message, my previous one is showing n the "Topic Review" panel below as 09.34.
So you're right, there is something screwed up in the forum management settings, and the server clock seems to be a few minutes out as well.
Has the summer time/winter time change confused the software as much as it always confuses me ? |

Have you tried setting it to GMT-1?
I think, and I stand to be corrected, that the base clock is running UTC. _________________ Richard

UTC is GMT give or take a few milliseconds. _________________ Tim |

Why should I set to GMT-1 when my home time zone is GMT+1 ?
Also, whatever my setting, why is the time for the same posting showing differently in two different displays on the same forum ?
In this example, when I access the thread of my 09:40 post it shows as 10:34, but when I select "Post Reply" and I'm given "Topic review", then it shows as 09:34. |

Because it's a workaround until the problem is fixed, although if your normal timezone is GMT +1, I'd have thought that you'd need to set your time to GMT.

Can't answer this one, I'm afraid. _________________ Tim |
