|

Just be warned that installing TTG v5.42 appears to overwrite the data.chk file, thus negating the helpful voices, and reverting back to "boings", "hoots" etc!
I reinstalled the voices, but then my TTG 700 failed to get past the spalsh screen, even after a reset!
Seems that the PocketGPSWorld customised voices v5.1 work fine with TTG firmware up to and including v5.201, but not with v5.42?! - unless I screwed up again?!

I'm not posting to help, just to remark that someone else should be up at this ungodly hour as well as me.
Commiserations by the way!

You need the correct data.chk for the build version you installed.
http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-poi-alerts.php has now the latest version for 5643 for V5.420. _________________ Richard

Wasn't ther when I last looked, but it appears they've changed the format of the site a little?
So ... now to download and install!
Thanks again, Oldboy!
