Heres my problem.
I have a P910i and a globalsat BT-338 but I dont have any software.
I use cars and motorbikes so was thinking I could use my existing bluetooth head set... can I
Which lead t the following questions.
1.can I buy TomTom mobile five without TomTom gps unit.
2.Will the P910i allow multiple devices to synch with it.
Would I be better off selling the globalSat unit and buying TomTom RIDER...expensive price to pay but at least im not stuck to my battered P910i and the multi connection bluetooth is not an issue...I think.
Can anybody give me some advise....first post and im new to gps etc.Could really do with some expert advice...Thanks |

Answer 1: TomTom do not show Mobile 5 in the catalogue for individual sale.
Answer 2: I don't know can't you try it with friends phones and stuff? |

1.Whats the deal on the BT head set.Is it supplied ?? if so...
1.Is it smal enough to fit under a helmet without being a pain ?
2.Can you use any head set.
3 Are there speakers in case you wanted to use it in car ?
4.Where did you get it from....got a high price tag
ps if I did use my P910i would I just not get calls through head set ??...guess id still have to get a new reciever as you cant buy software only.ps would it even work with a different BT reciever ?
ps which is the best forum on his site to post.... |

1. it is supplied
1. apparently so
2. no idea, but there is no reason why you couldn't
3. no
4. all good electrical shops, soon (i'd think inside 2-3 weeks time)
Yes, it is a bit expensive. Quite a bit come to think about it... but if you ride a bike, it is THE GPS navigatior to have. |

friend of mine is using tomtom mobile 5 on orange SPV 2000 with a standard ear piece.
Rider seems a high price to pay for BT head set and waterproof case that has no speakers for in car
He puts the PDA in rucksack/pocket.
On a bike you wont be looking at screen that much unless you want to end up in the back of a car.
Sounds like a good unit but the price and fact you just cant just put it in your car with speakers put me off.
The difference is about £300.00 for BT instead of earpiece and you cant use in car unless you want to use your crash helmet in car
Is there is something I dont understand....
Thanks |
