|
|
Has anyone else had trouble upgrading to 5.1?
TT5 works fine on my xdaII (although I too find that it hangs if the telephone is on).
However I want to use the new version of POI Warner which needs 5.1 apparently.
I have therefore downloaded ppcupd510.exe but after I have "installed" the upgrade the version shown is still 5.000.
Does this mean the upgrade has not worked and if so what else do I need to do please.
Many thanks

I have installed POI Warner for TT 5 so syncing seems to work.
Any other thoughts please?

I have the same probem. I Hard reset the PPC, then installed the TT5 Upgrade + Maps. Then 'installed' the TT5.1 Update, however the version in TT still reports version 5.00.
ANy ideas? |

The 5.1 installation has failed. Try looking on the forum as one person has found a way around this issue. _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

Just to say that by using the zip file rather than the exe file has upgraded my XDA II gtom TT5 to TT5.1.
The extracted exe file does not appear to be any different to the exe file previously used but obviously it is.
I hope that this may help some other users.

My Mio 168 was failing to upgrade silently.
The fix: remove the map CD from the drive.
This will hopefully help some people.
thanks
