Problems with TomTom5 Voice prompts

I have upgraded to TomTom5 on my QTEK 2020 and have been really happy. I am experiencing a really weird problem and wondered if anyone else has seen this. I have installed all of my usual applications allong side TomTom and everything works fine, and then all of a sudden I will start TomTom and the voice prompts sound like they have been corrupted, where as before they were lovely and smooth. This happened today, this morning everything woked OK, I installed nothing extra during the day, only used my pda to check emails. Tonight the problem is back.

I uninstalled every program one by one, no better. I even tried the SD card from my wifes pda running TomTom5, still no good so I can rule out a problem with the SD card.

If I un install TomTom and re install it makes no difference, the only way to correct this is a hard reset followed by a fresh install.

This has happened twice now.

Does anybody have any ideas????

Afraid haven't a clue on that one and hope you get some good advice on sorting it out.

Certainly don't want to hijack your thread but coincidentally I had an unexplained voice prompt problem today. Rather than distortion, Jane disappeared from the scene and couldn't be found. Had to come home and reinstall her from CD. I had done nothing with the pda (Mio 168) since last use apart from switching off and on. Certainly hadn't been anywhere near the change voice menu option. So where she went, I don't know.
