|
|
Hi,
I've recently changed from a TomTom GO to TT NAV 5 on my XDA2i (given the GO to my wife). Have installed everything OK but I can't seem to get the product activated.
Every time I go through to the activation website (ttcode.com) I get a CGI error. This happens sometimes upon initially accessing the website, sometimes after step 1 and sometimes after step 2. ultimately I have not been able to go compleely through the process and activate the software!!
Does anybody know what this CGI error is? I guess it's a website problem but that's about as much as I can gather...
Also, is anyone else having problems activating their product?
Any info much appreciated... |

Yes,
I've noticed the www.ttcode.com website is having problems,
Must be inherent in TomTom software,

I activated a copy of TTN5 this morning with no problem but now get the CGI error you refer to, so this is definately (another) Tom Tom problem.
There's an option to go online to activate during installation rather than activating manually from www.ttcode.com, have you tried that? |

It's nice that you can activate via the web site,
So you can save the activation code,

The site was up a few minutes ago, I successfully completed an activation (via the Web). |

Carl, |
If you register the product code under My Products, the product & activation codes are always available - well as long as the site's up.... |

ttcode.com finally worked for me this morning - needed a few trys though. It was frustrating as I couldn't activate last night.
Used TT3 on my 3970 to travel to Coventry this morning.
Will be using TT5 on my new hx2750 on the return journey. |

I received a reply from TomTom that their server was down and should be back soon...eventually used the automatic option (via GPRS). All happy now... |
