Beginning immediately, golfers can try out StarCaddy golf yardage and GPS software live on the golf course, with the release of the new demo version of StarCaddy. For the first time, Palm and Pocket PC PDA owners can select a free trial map of their choice with the downloadable trial version. This allows users to experience all of StarCaddy's features by actually taking it along with them when they play a round of golf.
"StarCaddy has been said to give golfers a huge advantage on the golf course," said Chris Rising, Marketing Manager for StarCaddy. "The new demo version lets the golfer download StarCaddy and a trial course map of their choice and then take it out and play. If you already have GPS, you can use all of StarCaddy's features, if not, you can still enjoy StarCaddy's interactive yardage measurements and digital scorecard."
The new demo version of StarCaddy can be downloaded for free from at www.starcaddy.com and selected software download sites. As part of the installation process, the user can choose a course from a selection of thousands of free trial maps. Trial maps are identical to a full StarCaddy map, but only the first nine holes can be used.
Users who download the demo version of StarCaddy are free to use it as much as they wish with their trial course map. StarCaddy can be upgraded to the full version, which includes one full course map, by purchasing an activation code online. The suggested retail price of the full version of StarCaddy golf yardage and GPS software is $49.95.
"It's the best investment I've made since I purchased custom clubs," said Tom Pearson, a StarCaddy customer in the US Southeast. "I play my home course 200 times per year. I shaved 4 strokes off my game the first time out with StarCaddy." |
