|
|
I tend to use TTN with sound off and just use the map display for navigation (too many women in my life telling me what to do already).
The problem with TTN5 is that if I turn off the sound, I lose POI warning chimes as well. Anybody know a way around this? Are there any silent voice files anywhere, so I could leave sound on, but hear no instructions?

I have same problem. Downloaded files and put them (unzipped) onto SD card per instructions but nothing happens. Don't want to ruin my TT5 installation so can someone tell me where these files should go?
Thanks |

I needed to change the file named addon.vif to data97.vif I then copied both files to My Documents/tomtom
Thanks simkna this is a really nice touch, TT5 is getting more and more like TT3 with updated maps.
Cheers

Cheers for that. It works well as long as you do not check the box 'only on route' when setting up POI sound warning. Still rather use Checkpoint but at least this works.
Thanks again |
