I'm after a 12v hard wire kit for a Tomtom GO (300,500,700). I don't want the £149 kit that has all sundry of power and audio connections etc, just something that I can connect to my car's ignition so that the GO powers up when I start. Is there anything available, either from Tomtom or a 3rd party? |

Simplest way, and done by many, is to fit a new cigarette lighter power socket behind the dashboard and use the car charger lead.
DON'T make your own lead. TomTom GO runs on 5 volts and needs the transformer in the lead. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

I'm aware of this method but didn't want an 'always on' connection behind the dash. |

It won't be always on if you wire it from the ignition circuit. Maybe via a relay. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)
