I have just updated from MapSonic to Navigation 3. A worthwhile expense especially as I got 50 euros off! I like the new software overall, especially the post code search. I am running it on a T2 and also have a TC.
However two questions, for now.
1. How do you remove a Favourite? I put one in the wrong place, don't ask how, and had to reinstall the software to remove it. The manual, such as it is, is no help.
2. How can I get Navigation on two Palms? With my previous version I had to put a synch code into MapStore, a different one for each of them, before the exported maps would work. Navigation now will only synch with the Palm that it found when first installed on the PC. I know that I could uninstall and then reinstall with the second Palm in the cradle, but that seems an almighty workaround.
Thanks |

Can't remove a favourite entered in error on the Palm other than to delete the file called PPOIS.POI (I Think - best to copy it to memory card and re-start Mapsonic, it will recreate the file and you will have no Favourites) I have contacted viaMichelin about this and await their reply
Don't think there is any easy way around the two palms other than to do as you say which will give you syncchronisation problems or else install it on two different PCs |

Thanks for the suggestion about the POI file.
Re synching. I have had to turn off automatic synching for my Palm that does not currently have Naviagation on, using Palm Desktop, or it keeps on informing me that it is not the correct Palm! I have a laptop that I can load Navigation on to get the UK maps on a 256Mb card, so will probably use that rather than uninstall/install the whole lot again. |
