Hi
Can anyone tell me, I have a ttg which I got for Christmas and I love it. I have been reading the new ttg 300, 500 and 700 with all it features and all that jazz which is nice. My current software version is 4.42, I know there will be an update to version 5 in the near future. Can exsisting users of the current ttg get all the updates and some of the new features offered by the new Tomtom. I also see that on the tomtom website they no longer show the ttg anymore which I find heart breaking as this equipment is rather still pricey

You'll be able to get all the software updates included in the new version, apart from those which require Bluetooth connectivity (handsfree, traffic updates, downloads) and remote control. |

The new version looks great, cant wait to get it, However, I only have the standard 128mb SD card. I was just about to upgrade to 512 or greater, but wondered if anyone knows the minimum size for the v5 software. I gues it has to fit on the 128mb card or there would be a lot of un-happy people. |

I don't believe it will because of all the extra features, and the data that it requires, it is quite conceivable that it will exceed 128MB. _________________ Richard

I think I am in the same boat as the first poster... totally confused....
I love my TTGO and have mounting kits in my car and my wifes car and have become dependant to a large extent on it.. So easy to use ect... Speed camera data - a very sensible use of it.. even the Home office are saying it is a good thing..
Have I wasted my money??
Is the bit of kit that I bought less than four months ago now becoming redundant...??
Being a VERY sliver surfer I do get a little confused and would like reassuring that the download will be painless and trouble free... I have got the larger 512 SD as recommended and have the GB and French maps 8) on there -- don't need any more...
Also when will the new version be available and also the new maps??
I done expect to pay for the v 5 upgrade but I do for the maps - thats only fair...
I think TT need to do some PR to reassure people like me... _________________ Happy to meet -- Sorry to part -- Happy to meet again |

V5 is only a small bit of software and will fit on a standard SD card. Only a little bigger than 4.42. You can always delete unwanted voices too if you really need the space. |
