Hi Everyone,
Just bought myself a tomtom go and so far very impressed. i bought one cause we dont have sat nav on our non emergency vehicle also for personal use. Please bear with me as not a brill with computers.
My question is i have downloaded the speed safety camara to my pc and there was told to transfer ov2 and bitmap images to great britain map, i noticed there there is ov2 and bitmap images which are continental,do i need to load these as well or do i load all of the ov2 and bitmap images.
Also when i have transfered files to great britain map what do i do next.
Any help would be very grateful. Many Thanks

No, you only need continental files if going to the continent.
Goto Change Preferences/Page2/Maintain POI/Enable Disable POI.
Tap keyboard symbol at bottom - type in PO. This should display categories beginning with 'PO' - hopefully this will be the first of the cameras - tap the entry. Repeat for all cameras. N.B. Tap a second time to disable if you make a mistake. Press Done to finish.
This will bring you back to Maintain POI screen. Tap Warn When Near POI. Repeat the process as above for finding and go through each menu for Warn When Closer Than:, Test the sounds before Selecting, and most people untick 'Warn only if POI is on Route?'.
This enables you to hear the sounds even if a route is chosen.
Hope that is clear _________________ Richard

If you read this thread it might help you compile your own in TTG 'on the fly'.
