|

Hi all,
I've recently bought an Ipaq 2755 (WinMobile 2003 SE) with an Haicom gps 303S on compact Flash.
I'm experiencing problems when using it, especially with TOMTOM navigator (3.07): suddenly it seems that the connection between GPS and Ipaq is dropped, so I have to go in the TomTomGPS program, deselect the gps and select it again to make things working for 10-15 minutes more.....and so on.
Has anybody experienced a problem like this?
Thanks in advance.

Gigi,
Is this one of HP's hx series? If so, there seems to be a problem throughout the whole hx range with the CF card connectivity.
I've got the same problem with my hx2410 and am currently trying to get a replacement from HP. Though there is belief that HP will be issueing a ROM upgrade shortly to correct the problem.
Check the HP website forums and in particular the following link:

Just to define this problem (which sounds as if it's real) more accurately, it's documented as affecting the whole hx2000 series, but doesn't affect other different iPAQ hx models, such as the iPAQ hx4700.
I've used a CompactFlash HI-303MMF successfully on long journeys with an iPAQ hx4700.

Gigi,
The ROM update has been posted on the HP web site.
It's now linked from the previous link above.
Let me know how you get on with it as I'm still to change my 2410. _________________ Carlsn
