Hi,
I've got (Evesham)Mitac Mio 168 with CoPilot 5, but I think it's very shabby at alerting me to Speed Cameras. Now i'm thinking of buying TomTom Navigator 3 for my Mitac Mio.
I've heared that Speed Camera POI dont come with TomTom Navigator 3, therefore how do I install them into the Navigator?.
i.e. What programs do I need? |

You need something like CheckPOInt free off this site from the Downloads page, an excellent programme, and I and many others stick with version 2.0.2. Also the speed camera database also available from this site. |

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I've downloaded CheckPOInt v2.0.2. I presume this gets installed on the Pocket PC?.
Does this work on PPC 2003 and with TT Navigator 3?
Thanks

Yes & yes, but you must put TT3 on your PDA first. |

Hi, why do you stick with the old version? I also have Nav 3 on a 4150 and I want to add speed camrea POIs. I was going to use the latest version. |

SteveW is right, for many the preferred version of CheckPOInt is 2.0.2 to use with TTNav 2 or 3. This is because the latter versions of CheckPOInt (i.e. 3.2) are more tied in with the synchronisation of the POIplace website. CheckPOInt 2.0.2 allows you to capture new cameras to a proper .OV2, which you can then send in to update the database.
The alternative is to use GPSAssist, which is my favourite. You can trial GPSAssist for 40 starts before you have to buy it.
