Does anybody know how to get the favourites back to the standard list after keyboard has been selected? |

From the 'maintain favourites' icon 2 favourites are displayed with keyboard below. The only option then is 'done' no 'back'. From 'add favourite' the back command doesn't seem to remove the key board. I have found a reference to this issue in one of the main Tom Tom reviews soI assume I'm not alone! |

Maybe this is another little "characteristic" of the TTG? I think you are right - there is no way to remove the keyboard, it assumes in this menu that you want to search for the favourite required. Im not sure that Im overly concerned as its easy to work round, but it looks like its an oversight by TT to me. |

One thing you can do is choose "Use Smaller Keyboard" from "Change Preferences" this allows a list of three, but is more fiddly if you do want to use the keyboard.... |

I assumed that as 'back to the standard list' and 'keyboard selected' it was in the Navigate to ... mode, as tapping Back here will return to the standard list.
I may have assumed wrong.'' _________________ Richard

Not in it's present format. It's been suggested in another thread that this is because of different language layouts.
Try -

I've been scouting around for the answer to this all afternoon. Oddly enough it doesn't happen on a colleague's 700, but won't disappear on my 500.
If anyone's found a solution yet, please let me know.
Thanks |

On the TTG classic Ver.5.1 from the Preferences menu, choose Keyboard preferences the keyboard size. You will then be asked ABCD, QWERTY or AZERTY(whatever that is!)
Dont know if this is available with newer models though. |

Those options are there, but this isn't what we're looking for.
Basically, the first time you go into Favourites, the list fills the entire screen. There's a keyboard icon in the bottom corner that allows you to bring up a keyboard - which then reduces the viewable list to 2 items. The problem now is that you cannot stop the keyboard automatically appearing every time the option is subsequently used. I've tried all combinations of keyboard style / size, but it doesn't revert the favourites list back to full-screen - the keyboard is permanently there.
It's not exactly a show-stopper but is just a little annoying because the scroll bar is limited to 2 rows and is difficult to hit when driving at 100mph, drinking a bottle of water and answering the phone at the same time |

If you choose "smaller keyboard" from p5 of the Prefs you will get 3 lines showing. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Ooops! I see you've tried that
And it does make the keyboard too small to use.
Because of the difficulty of saving Favourites most of us have set up a "Favourites" replacement in the PoIs. (They appear as an .ov2 file and can be saved, moved and deleted etc on the PC).
Tried the keyboard in PoI and it disappears after using "Back" and is replaced by scroll arrows on the RHS. Does this not happen in Favourites? I have less than a page of Favourites so I don't need a keyboard to search. _________________ TTGO 700 (dead)

Yes the scroll arrows are there if you have more than 6 favourites. _________________ Richard
