I recently had the medion 200 pda with the navtech gps software. As the pda is no longer working (after i ran over it) i was wondering if i would be able to use the software on my new Dell X50v.
I was thinking of getting a bluetooth receiver to use it with, can this software be configured to use a bluetooth receiver?
Regards

yes, that's possible. Even though it's not Navteq software - Navteq is only the map data provider. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for that.
So the GPS software will find the bluetooth gps receiver? Or is not the software that has to find it?

There are two steps - first the Pocket PC has to find the BT device, and connect to it's serial port service. And then the GPS software needs to specif the correct COM port and speed ( that's 38400 for BT GPS)
But don't worry - that is standard functionality for all Pocket PCs and receivers. _________________ Lutz

The first time it can take longer, especially if you move it around. Let it sit there with good sky view. _________________ Lutz
