Loaded Checkpoint and all seems well except whenever I open TT3 I get a blank screen with "FRAME" at the top. If I open Checkpoint...ditto. Any help please? |

Hmm. Sounds like an Internet Explorer error. Maybe the help file is trying to display?
What happens when you de-install CheckPOInt? _________________ Lutz

I de-installed Checkpoint and still the same. Reloaded TT3 and still the same so I restored my complete backup (through SPrite) and all works OK although I haven't reinstalled TT3 or Checkpoint. I run CoPilot5 as well and I need my working Sat Nav..
I have a 2210 and the ChecKP I used was the one from the download page so I don't know if there is a compatability issue. There are no instructions on how do it so I just followed the lead from the programme. Couldn't figure out how(or where) to put the speed camera ovl files on the PPC anyway.
I'm disappointed 'cos I wanted to try TT3 as an alternative to CP5, which has served me well by the way |

Have you managed to get TTN3 to run on it's own (without CheckPOInt)? _________________ Lutz

Indeed, TT3 worked fine without Checkpoint. It appeared that all the Icons were on the "desktop" as they should have been but as I said whenever one was selected, TT3 or Checkpoint, this mystery FRAME screen appeared. That was why I was wondering about the 2210/TT3 3.07/Checkpoint compatability thing. I noticed on several other posts mention being made about this. |

Hi there
Not sure if it helps much, but I can confirm that I'm using the same setup as yours and it's working - 2210, TomTom 3.07, and CheckPOInt 2.02 downloaded from this site. _________________ Barry Davies

Hi Barry.
No that does help. I figure its probably something I've done. I have CP5 on my CF card as well but that seems unaffected. I wondered if it had something to do with the fact that I can't see where or how to download the database files, (just the OVL ones?) to the 2210. Do I just dump them on the CF card? Maybe I'm just being dumb...OK you can all put your hands down now!
I'm gonna try again now but if you know how/where to transfer the POI database I would be grateful. |

Not sure how CheckPOInt works but eventually all the OV2 and BMP files must reside in their respective map directory (with "-Map" at the end) _________________ Lutz

Hi
As Lutz says, put the .ov2 and .bmp files in the same folder as the TomTom GB maps. In my case I put the TomTom maps on my CF card, so they went here (looking at the Pocket PC folder structure in Windows Explorer on my PC using ActiveSync):

Cheers chaps. I'll give that a go later on. Interested to see if Checkpoint loads and works without a problem. I have downloaded POI Edit which does the dirty work for you. Thankfully I have a good , tried and tested, full backup of my 2210 and CF card thanks to Sprite. It restores to my setup as of 2 days ago and works off the bat so I have a fallback. Altough I would love TT3 to work.
Side issue. Didn't realise TT3 does not have a PC based install like Co Pilot which is a very handy feature for planning a trip on a PC. |
