I NEED Euro coverage....

Hi,

I have a Medion MD41800 and I love the Navigon software which came with it - for the UK.

However I REALLY need to add `all roads` coverage for the whole of Europe.

There used to be a way to buy add ons from Navigon country by county, but that seems to have disappeared from their website - not that I wanted to spend GB 70.00 per country anyway!

I have read lots of posts about upgrading to V4 of the Navigon software, but that idea fills me with dread (having to send off original CDROMS and buy new hardware ect)

SOOOO... what other options are open to me??

Is there another product out there which I can buy `software only` that will work on my current PDA/sensor set up??

I am happy to keep on using the Navigon version I have for the UK, and something else for Europe or ditching the Navigon altogether and switiching over 100percent.

Navigon don't offer the "major roads" feature because they believe that those maps are of no use as soon as you leave the highway. They emphasize the corridor philosophy - you plan a route within Europe, and then cut a map that contains a corridor of, let's say , ten miles around the route.

If you really, really need the major roads network, look at TomTom, Mapopolis, or CoPilot. They all offer that feature.
