The mio keeps falling out of the supplied case, which is a split side, open top design. Does anyone know where you can buy a decent quality tailored case, which will accomodate the GPS reciever when folded?
There seem to be plenty available for HP & Palm models, but I cannot find anyone offering a case for the Mio.
For anyone thinking of buying a Mio; I am very satisfied with mine. |

You CAN use the Mitac MIO 558 case which is a good quality leather one with belt clip - its NOT ideal but you can fit it in but its a tight fit. Its only for storage/transport - you can only use the headphones for MP3 playback when it's in this case.
SatNav requires you to take it out of the case. _________________ Silva MultiNavigator

If you want a truly top-end leather case, it looks like Vaja will build you a case to your specification. Choose PDA then Navman PIN - which I believe is the same device, but you must check first, as Vaja custom cases are not refundable.
I'm looking forward to Vaja releasing an iPAQ hx4700 case, which they tell me is in development.

You also might want to check out Vaja Cases who make a much better leather case for the Mio168/PiN 100/300. I have one which I'm going to write a review on. |

I've only ever read good reviews about Vaja cases, and look forward eagerly both to your review, Dave, and to the availability of their iPAQ hx4700 case.
I contacted Vaja about the hx4700 from their web site, and received a personal reply fairly quickly saying that a case was in development for release shortly. Sadly, my use of a PC Card Expansion Pack Plus on my old iPAQ h3970 ruled out a Vaja case - nobody makes a leather case for that combination.
Vaja are pricey - but when I consider how much I rely on my Pocket PC, how much I handle it and how much the Pocket PC cost me, I believe around US$80 is worthwhile.

After reading this thread I purchased this one: http://shop.brando.com.hk/bwmio168caseside.php
Ordered about a week ago, received it this morning and can say that it's great.
I originally contacted Medion themselves but they said that they wouldn't be selling any products for the PDA GPS for about 4-6 weeks. The case looked naff anyway on the catalogue.
Can recommend getting the http://shop.brando.com.hk/bwmio168caseside.php was a bit dubious ordering from HK and delivered to UK, but product is great. |

Ordered the Brando case for my Mio 168 on Sunday 21st and it arrived today Friday 26th.
Excellent fit, smells like real leather, offers really good protection to the PPC. All buttons and orifices accessible, plus a flap to cover the GPS flap on the back.
Perhaps I would have preferred black stiching rather than white which looks a bit stark against the black leather.
Thoroughly recommended _________________ Nokia E65 & TT Nav6 |

Yep...have to agree with all the above. Recieved mine yesterday, ordered on Monday, arrived on Friday all the way from Hong Kong..I would say that was VERY good service. Excellent fit, great quality and I happen to love the white stitching on it. Recomended buy!!!!! :-) |
