Can somebody tell me if the mapopolis software has it's own gps drivers built in. If i removed anything to do with tom tom from my pocket pc would then mapopolis look at my fortuna clip on b.t. gps on com 6?
Thanks

Yes, Mapopolis has it's GPS driver built in. (to be blunt : there is no need for a separate GPS driver. All you need to do is to read the serial buffere every now and then ;-) )
Tiy don't need to remove TomTom . You only need to remove the TomTom GPS driver. Make sure it is really gone, and don't forget the soft resets _________________ Lutz

hi lutz
well i removed the tom tom gps driver. Completed a soft reset but it still won't see com6. Tried setting to com 4 in my bluetooth manager settings but the gps unit won't see anything.
Any other suggestions mate. I wish i had never changed the ****** thing

Hi lutz
I am using pocket pc version 4.20.0. On XDA II.
I've tried com4 for the inbound com port and checked it in the bluetooth settings and also unchecked the inbound com port.
Does a soft reset have to be done each time i check & uncheck?
Sorry for all these questions.

you are consuming the service of the BT receiver, so you need to use the OUTGOING port. _________________ Lutz
